Israel’s Ambassador to France summoned (November 12, 2024)
Today, the Ambassador of Israel to France was summoned to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs following an incident that took place at France’s Eleona domain during the Minister’s visit to Jerusalem on November 7.
The Ambassador was informed that the presence of armed Israeli security forces at the Eleona domain and the arrest of two gendarmes from the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem who hold diplomatic status were unacceptable, especially in the case of two countries with strong, bilateral relations and in the context of a visit whose goal was to de-escalate tensions. Measures will be taken to guarantee that no such acts happen again.

Cybersecurity
Meeting of the Pall Mall Process to tackle the proliferation and irresponsible use of commercial cyber intrusion capabilities (Paris, November 12, 2024)
On November 12, 2024, France and the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Paris Peace Forum, held a meeting in Paris of the Pall Mall Process, an international initiative that aims to develop future regulations to combat the threat posed by the proliferation and irresponsible use of commercial cyber intrusion tools and services.
In preparation for the annual conference of the Pall Mall Process, which will be held in April 2025 in Paris, this meeting saw the conclusion of an unprecedented consultation with State representatives, industry organizations and civil society. This consultation led to the presentation of a report identifying existing measures and additional efforts to be undertaken in the fight against the proliferation and irresponsible use of commercial cyber intrusion capabilities.
France will continue to work with its partners and all of the stakeholders under the Pall Mall Process in order to tackle this shared threat, in keeping with the commitments made as part of the Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace.
